Wednesday Arrests by Plymouth Police

Wednesday morning about 9:30 a Plymouth Police Officer arrested 40 year old Jason T. Shepperd of Plymouth at the Economy Inn, 2535 North Michigan Street.  Shepperd was arrested on four failure to appear warrants and held on no bond. Just before 8 p.m. Officer Matthew Emenhiser conducted a traffic stop for a broken tail light near the intersection of US 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail.  During his investigation it was discovered that 28 year old Dale L. Heiser of Plymouth was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.  Heiser’s cash bond was set at $755 cash and he was given a February 10th court date in Superior Court II. Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
